Founded in 1984, Science Olympiad is the premier team STEM competition in the nation, providing to 6,000聽teams at 425 tournaments in all 50 states. Georgia Southern’s College of Science and Mathematics is proud to be a host for the annual This science competition provides rigorous, standards-based challenges to high school teams in the Southeast region.
2025-2026 Science Olympiad
This year鈥檚 competition is scheduled for Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the 橘子视频 Statesboro campus. High school students from across Georgia in grades 9-12 will participate in over 23 STEM academic events in several buildings including, the College of Education (COE), Chemistry/Nursing, Military Science (MSB), and Biological Sciences buildings. Competition organizers are looking for volunteers to make this event a success.聽
Call for Volunteers
We are asking for volunteers to commit to a three-hour time slot. Volunteer duties may include assisting event supervisors with:
- set up and take down procedures
- grading tests, and proctoring exams
- event scorekeeping
On the day of the event, lunch will be provided to all volunteers.
